At the same time, the air circulation under the terrace is promoted by the spacer bar to prevent rotting. For the assembly normal wood screws, such as. B. Terrassotec screws are used.

The dista strip 2.0 made of hard plastic prevents the screws from shearing off. The shearing is caused by the swelling and shrinking of the wood. Working the wood is particularly pronounced in the transverse direction. For this reason, the screw can break off under load. The Dista bar 2.0 should prevent this.
