Specifications
"Hapatec" wood screws are made of hardened stainless steel. The screw has a groove at the bottom of the thread, milled edges on the thread, and a countersunk head.
Material
- Martensitic stainless steel 1.4006 (C1);
(Stainless steel according to DIN EN 10088); - Increased durability:
60% higher breaking torque than V2A and V4A austenitic stainless steel;
Hardened by heat treatment. - Can be used in 1-3 service classes according to DIN EN 1995 (Eurocode 5);
- Limited corrosion resistance;
- Not acid resistant;
- Not suitable for wood containing tannins, e.g., cucumber, oak, incense, robinia, etc.;
- Not suitable for use in aggressive, salty or chlorinated environments;
- Magnetizable.
Advantages:
- Milled edges facilitate screwing into all types of wood;
- Special screw geometry reduces the risk of wood splitting;
For hardwood used in terrace and facade constructions, pre-drilling is highly recommended!; - Corrosion resistant up to and including service class 3 - "structures exposed to atmospheric influence" according to DIN EN 1995 (Eurocode 5);
