Securo - Fire Barrier for Ventilated Facade

With the FB Ventilated Facade Fire Barrier, Securo has created a new set of tools specifically designed for the installation of ventilated fire barriers in voids, cavities behind facade finishes, fire-resistant walls and floors.

The FB Ventilated Facade Fire Barrier ensures proper ventilation of the structure while simultaneously preventing the spread of fire. These are the only possible products designed for the safe ventilation of structural voids and cavities while protecting them from fire. When a ventilated facade fire barrier is installed, the void is not closed, but conditions are created for necessary ventilation behind the facade finish. In case of a fire, the product closes the air gap and prevents the fire from spreading.
The FB Ventilated Facade Fire Barrier is a completely passive ventilation structure, i.e., it has no moving parts, detector activation systems, and cables.
The fire barrier protects against direct ignition, jumping fire, long-term fire, and the ignition of unburned gases into the protected side.
FB technology uses several heat transfer mechanisms, blocking the spread of fire, to instantly block the spread of fire. Ignition on the unprotected side will not be possible from the first millisecond throughout the entire combustion assessment period.
The structure maximizes convective heat transfer from hot gases to solid surfaces. As the hot gases cool, the hermetic material heats up accordingly. Solid components act as secondary heat absorbers, effectively cooling the smoke temperature below the typical ignition temperature until the hermetization process is complete. Insulation parts and air gaps are carefully designed to meet thermal conductivity characteristics.
The FB ventilated facade fire barrier is made only of stainless materials, so it does not require any standard tests or maintenance to ensure its proper operation in case of fire.
